What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a modern healthcare model designed to put patients and physicians back at the center of care. Instead of billing their insurance, patients pay a simple, transparent monthly membership fee directly to their physician.
That membership covers most primary care needs, including unlimited medically necessary office visits for acute concerns, chronic disease management, and preventive care. Because there are no insurance barriers, visits are longer, access is easier, and care is more personalized.
In addition to in-office visits, Direct Primary Care often includes:
Virtual care options (secure messaging, phone, or video visits)
Low-cost, direct dispensing of many non-controlled medications
In-office procedures (e.g. cyst removals, joint injections, laceration repairs, contraceptive placements)
Discounted lab work and imaging through negotiated cash pricing
Direct Primary Care is built on transparency and trust. Costs are clearly communicated up front, and patients have direct access to their physician when they need care—without copays, surprise bills, rushed appointments, or stipulations on appointment types.
Note: Direct Primary Care is not health insurance. We recommend maintaining insurance for care outside our clinic such as emergencies, hospitalizations, speciality medications, and specialists consults.
